Adam Zak began working with McKinsey & Company in the late 1990s as the firm was just beginning to establish its Lean Manufacturing Consulting Practice. I recruited a group of highly experienced Lean industry executives, helping form the core of what subsequently evolved into a critical part of today’s McKinsey Operations Practice.

Initially working in the United States, and then in Europe as well as China, I helped recruit 43 Lean operations consultants at various experience levels to the firm, including the Lean experts who built McKinsey’s Production Systems Design Centers in the US, Europe and Asia.
