Ventana Medical Systems is a world-class pioneer in the manufacture of high-technology medical diagnostic instrumentation and reagents. Since its founding in 1987 the company has been dedicated to providing advanced systems for performing complex and sophisticated diagnostic procedures, products which are used to assist in the diagnosis of cancer and infectious diseases.

The company is a leader in this highly specialized marketplace, and over a thousand of its systems are installed in laboratories worldwide, including leading medical centers such as the Mayo Clinic, Johns Hopkins Hospital, and the University of Texas M.D. Anderson Medical Center. The company completed its initial public offering (IPO) in 1996 and in 1997 was named among the top fastest-growing technology companies in Arizona.

This aggressive global expansion has created an excellent career opportunity for a talented operations professional who can quickly assume a hands-on leadership position in this competitive, entrepreneurial, (and soon-to-be) “lean thinking” environment.

The Vice President, Operations and Lean Transformation reports directly to company’s President & CEO. He will be responsible for developing and implementing a LEAN manufacturing culture and supporting processes to motivate his team to achieve dramatic manufacturing and business results. The focus will be on establishing world-class manufacturing, supply chain management and aggressive cost reduction through productivity improvements.
